We're not slow to create a reason for feast & fellowship here at AAA but I must say the occasion of a 60th (!) anniversary is one grand cause for a party. We loaded up our baked potatoes with sour cream, salsa, broccoli, cheese, BACON, chili ... and much more ... gorged ourselves on two AAA family favorite salads (wait until you see our new page for Cafe Ambassador!) ... and topped it off with the requisite cake slathered with frosting.
We went back in history to the days Al MC'd Biola gatherings and enjoyed gales of laughter at our co-workers' expense (nothing like "Prince Charming" to make your laugh till you cry!). (Check this out: http://www.ambassadoradvertising.com/video/video.html)
The team graciously bestowed the gift of more memories with certificates to two of Al & M's favorite restaurants (Ruth's Chris and Summit House--yes, both of them!).
But most of all, we just thanked the Lord together for the incredible gift of watching "up close" the life of a man and a woman who chose to commit their lives to serving Him, and His people -- to being, truly, Ambassadors for Christ.
Speaking as one who has watched for 58 of those 60 years ... it is a rare and deep and incredible blessing. Thanks be to God for the gift of it.
