In our staff devotions this morning, we prayed and reflected on God’s sovereignty.
At approximately 11:45AM today, we held our second prayer time of the morning—standing in the door frames of our offices.
We prayed for protection of our loved ones as we felt the estimate 5.8 earthquake shake our building . . . reports are still filing in – the epicenter was in Chino Hills (about 40 miles north-east of our offices); there’ve been several measurable aftershocks, etc.
Phone service is intermittent—both cell and landlines . . . the same is true for internet service.
As we all try to contact family and friends, we are beginning to hear more about aftershocks and potential damage to freeway structures.
It’s too early to confirm the extent of injuries and/or damages, but one thing we know, there’s nothing like the ground shaking underneath you to direct your focus to the One who cannot be moved—our sovereign God.

Revive Our Hearts' Wes Ward reports in:
So, I am on the phone with Jenn "True Woman" Perez when all of a sudden . . .
"Yeeeooww!" she giggles. (Yes, a "yeeeooww!" can apparently be giggled.)
"We're having an EARTHQUAKE right now." Snickering continues.
The sounds of AAA's swanky diggs rattles about in the background like something my kids would hear on AIO.
"Um, Jenn, I will let you go," Wes utters thinking he's listening to the soon demise of one of Christian Media's finest organizations -- right before his very, uh, ears. (He does wonder if "EarTube" might catch on and if this could be the initial content posted there.)
Jenn cooly retorts, "Ah, it's OK," giggling, "really, it's just an EARTHQUAKE." Snicker.
"No, really. Call me back later." Wes gets off the line and immediately joins Martin Jones in praying for AAA and that portion of Planet Earth.
Later that day . . .
"We had a 5.8!!" Jenn is as giddy as a True Woman school girl.
To be continued (by some other person, I am sure! I am just glad that we didn't have to literally revive AAA's hearts today) . . .
Praise God that you all are safe.
Wow, guys, glad you're all ok. And the wildest thing at BreakPoint is watching the landscaping crew run for cover with their leafblowers right before a tropical storm blows through and staff huddles on the first floor.
